City S.A.M.

Is Urban Security and Public Privacy irreconcilable ideas?

The City S.A.M. is a two part project that first examines the role of the community in the process of design. This two-part project first investigates the ways in which the contemporary city secures itself. Speculation in regards to the future of urban security is postulated in response growing reliance on CCTV and other forms of digital surveillance. The second portion proposes an urban intervention through crowd-sourcing design.
